These Keto Chicken Wings are crispy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned to satisfy your low-carb cravings. Marinated with a blend of spices, oil, and a touch of low-carb sweetener, then baked to golden perfection and finished under the broiler for extra crispiness, these wings make a delicious and easy keto-friendly appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

Chicken Wings

  • 3 pounds chicken wings

Marinade and Seasoning

  • 2 tablespoons oil (or melted butter)
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
  • 1 tablespoon Gentle Sweet (or another low carb sweetener like Swerve)
  • 1/2 tablespoon ground paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Black pepper (and/or chili powder, cayenne pepper, hot sauce; to taste)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Chicken Wings: In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings with oil or melted butter, mayonnaise, dried parsley flakes, Gentle Sweet, ground paprika, ground cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper or preferred spicy seasonings. Mix thoroughly to coat all the wings evenly. Cover the bowl and refrigerate to marinate for at least 20 minutes, or up to overnight to enhance flavor.
  2. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and allow it to fully preheat. This ensures even cooking and helps the wings cook through properly.
  3. Bake the Wings: Arrange the marinated chicken wings in a single layer on a baking pan, making sure they are spaced evenly for proper heat circulation. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 50 minutes, or until the wings are cooked through and golden brown.
  4. Broil for Crispiness: To finish, switch the oven to the broiler setting and broil the wings for a few minutes. Keep a close watch to prevent burning; this step adds a crispy texture to the skin.
  5. Serve: Remove the wings from the oven and let them rest briefly. Serve hot as an appetizer, snack, or part of your meal.

Notes

  • For extra crispy wings, pat the wings dry before marinating.
  • The marinade can be prepared the night before for deeper flavor absorption.
  • Adjust the spice level by varying the amount of chili powder, cayenne, or hot sauce.
  • If preferred, use only butter or only oil as the fat base for the marinade.
  • Cooking times may vary based on oven performance and wing size; ensure wings reach an internal temperature of 165°F for safety.
