This 10 Minute Juicy Lobster Tail Recipe offers a quick and easy way to prepare succulent lobster tails with a flavorful buttery seasoning, broiled to perfection for a delicious seafood treat. Perfect for a special dinner or an impressive appetizer, this recipe highlights the natural sweetness of lobster meat enhanced with garlic, paprika, and cajun spices.

Ingredients

Lobster Tails

  • 4 whole Lobster tails

Seasoned Butter Sauce

  • 4 tablespoons Butter (unsalted)
  • ½ tablespoon Garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning

Garnish

  • 1 whole Lemon (cut into wedges)
  • Fresh Parsley (chopped for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to BROIL at 500°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.
  2. Prepare Lobster Tails: Hold each thawed lobster tail with the shell facing upward. Use sharp scissors to cut down the middle of the shell from the exposed meat towards the tail, being careful not to cut through the meat. Stop at the tail.
  3. Crack the Shell: Turn the lobster tail over and press down on the back side to crack the shell from top to tail. You should hear it crack.
  4. Loosen the Meat: Flip the tail back with the shell facing up. Run your fingers between the shell and lobster meat to loosen it.
  5. Butterfly the Tail: Pull the meat up through the cut, keeping it attached to the tail end. Press the shell closed underneath so the meat sits on top. Rinse with cold water to remove debris, then pat dry.
  6. Optional Lemon Placement: Place lemon wedges inside the shell under the lobster meat to prop it up when placed on the baking sheet.
  7. Make Butter Sauce: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter with garlic powder, paprika, and cajun seasoning by microwaving for 20 seconds, stirring, then an additional 10 seconds if needed until fully melted and mixed.
  8. Coat Lobster: Use a basting brush or spoon to evenly coat each lobster tail with the seasoned butter, covering all the lobster meat edges.
  9. Broil Lobster: Place the baking sheet in the oven and broil the lobster tails for 10 minutes.
  10. Baste and Garnish: Remove from oven, baste again with any remaining butter sauce, sprinkle with chopped parsley, add lemon wedges, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Make sure not to cut through the lobster meat when slicing the shell.
  • Use cold water to clean the lobster meat thoroughly after butterflying.
  • Adjust broiling time slightly if lobster tails are significantly larger or smaller.
  • Use fresh parsley and lemon for the best garnish and flavor enhancement.
  • Serve immediately for optimal juiciness and taste.
